Darren Wilkinson
Owner and Founder; I enjoy working with people and receive a great amount of pleasure when I have helped a person realize their potential and achieve their goals.

I have over 16 years of experience as a Personal Trainer in Leeds at the forefront of the Fitness Industry. Through this time I as a Personal Trainer I have enhanced my expertise with graduating with a BSc (hons) degree in Nutrition. My experience in the Fitness Industry enhanced with a nutrition degree ensures a PROMISE that I can guarantee results whether they be; weight-loss, increase muscle tissue, enhance performance through the correct nutrition, accelerated recovery through expert nutrition increased morbidity and mortality. I knowingly feel I’m able to make a significant difference and want to help people less fortunate that are in need of the help.

Recently, I obtained my BSc Nutrition (hons) degree. Understanding how the male and female body tissues and organ systems function is key when negotiating change. The core subjects of the degree are built up of Physiology, Nutrition and Biochemistry, nutrition and psychology being under pinned by many processes of Physiology and Biochemistry. Subjects that are taught through-out the degree expand from core principal sciences to understanding many of the illnesses and conditions people suffer from; such as, Cancers, Diabetes, Coronary heart disease, malnutrition; psychological barriers, Vitamin deficiencies etc. The curriculum covers in great detail diseases and conditions such as; diabetes type 2; Coronary heart disease; Cardiovascular disease i.e. strokes and Atherosclerosis, hypertension and Obesity and other dissimilating conditions and diseases.

My desire and passion to better myself has never wavered especially when realising my knowledge was very limiting when I was a Personal Trainer. Thus, this was pre-requisite for going back to college and achieving my G.C.S. E’s and A levels in order to advance on to a BSc (hons) in Nutrition. Although my abilities lacked depth when being in a position to initially speak to people, (when I was a trainer) I had to ask myself are you willing to go back to school and educate yourself? In order to be able to be able to make a significant impact and help people that needed a certain kind of expertise and guidance in order to change a person's present state of health for the better?

I enjoy working with people and receive a great amount of pleasure when I have helped a person realize their potential and achieve their goals

Thank you.
